Announcement: <Grand Quest 2025> Open Forum
The Seoul National University Institute for Future Strategy and the Choi Jong-Hyun Academy will host the <Grand Quest 2025> Open Forum on November 5 (Tue), 7 (Thu), 8 (Fri), 13 (Wed), and 15 (Fri).
The <Grand Quest> project was launched in 2023 by presenting 10 challenging issues, with its findings published in <Grand Quest 2024>. This year’s <Grand Quest 2025> invited experts from the U.S. and Korea, each a leader in their respective fields, to identify "Grand Quests" in 10 key areas.
A "Grand Quest" is an unsolved, high-risk problem in each field that, if solved, is expected to shift the paradigm within that area. The challenging issues presented in <Grand Quest 2025> aim to inspire Korea's next generation to open new horizons in science and technology. Additionally, they are anticipated to serve as critical milestones for Korea's industry leaders who are planning for the future.
In this Open Forum, we will share the significance of the "Grand Quests" identified in each field, discuss the challenges to resolving them, and explore potential solution directions.
